Teaching in the Musjid

Q: Is it permissible to teach in the masjid and take a wage? If it is not permissible, does this apply only within the boundary or outside as well? Does this apply if an ustaadh is given permission by the mutawalis as well?

Conducting a mashwarah regarding worldly affairs in the Musjid

Q: In our Masjid, Mashwarah is undertaken regarding annual get together for food. The objective being how we can connect youngsters to the Masjid and an effort of Deen. In this Mashwarah, we decide where the meal or braai will be held, who will bring what food, how many people will be invited and what time the braai will be? Bearing in mind this objective, is it permissible for us to conduct this particular Mashwarah in the Masjid?

Building above the Musjid

Q: Is it permissible to build a musjid with three flats on the top. One for the Imaam, one for the Mu'azzin and one to give on rent as income for the Musjid. If other accommodation is later on found for the Imaam and Mu'azzin, and the place becomes vacant, can the three flats be given on rent
for the income of the Musjid?

Chanda (collection)

Q:

  1. In the chanda (wusooli) system, is it compulsory to verify the income of a particular person wether it is halaal, haram or mashbooh before accepting money from him?
  2. Is the chanda system a good act or disliked act?
  3. Can mashbooh money be accepted from a person when doing wusooli for a madrassa?

Exchanging a portion of one's property for a portion of the musjids property

Q: A muslim person want to give the back portion of his property to the masjid, which is next to masjid on some conditions. He wants some front part of the masjid's property. He wants to make a shop over their but some people who gave money to the masjid are opposed to this proposal. They don't want to exchange the masjid part.
