Q: If someone arranges a waleema party and serves the food on the roof of mosque, is it allowed?

Q: Is it permissible to pick the roses or any other flowers that grow on the masjid premises or in its yard, without damaging the plant and without the intention of selling them?

Q: There is a masjid in our city which just has been constructed. The administration of this particular masjid have a outstanding amount of money which they owe to the contractor who has built the masjid by the end of June 2009. (approximate $400,000). So in the light of jurisprudence is it permissible for one masjid or a number of masajid to lend this particular masjid a loan from their monies which they have collected from the people in the form of donations for a particular cause for example construction of the masjid or masjid upkeep etc, so that they can make the timely payment.

In summary, is it permissible to transfer/lend a waqf of one place to another place which is also a waqf with the promise of return/repayment?

Q: As we starting with collections for a land for a masjid. Some brothers during the mashwerah want to know if there will be salami allowed in our masjid that we want to build? Please explain in detail.

Q: A certain organization made public announcements and adverts that they will be using excess Qurbaani funds for the construction of a Masjid in a rural area. Is this permissible or is it based on urf i.e. if people don’t mind then it's fine otherwise it is impermissible?

Q: Is there any significance is passing a bottle of attar (perfume) on Fridays (just before the Jumah salaat is about to commence) from person to person and each person rubs a drop or two of the attar on the face, hands and clothing? At most mosques this practice appears to have become customary.

Q: Our Musjid, has gone through an extension on the left side, However there is a separating wall (not completely separated few rows the an entrance, and few rows again) in between the Original Musjid and the extension. The extension is used for itikaf and is part of the Musjid. Usually on Jumma or when the musjid gets full the extension is used. The set up is similar to Musjidun Nabawai alhis salam. where outside the the front row continues, separated by walls:

1. Is the reward the same when standing in the front row,between the separating walls?
2. Should the original Musjid be filled 1st, then the extension or vice versa?
3. Can I stand alone in the extension to get the reward of filling the front rows?

Q: To use the Musjid as a thoroughfare is makrooh. However, some ulama say that if one needs to pass through the musjid to get to the other side, then he should stop in the musjid, make one sajdah, and then pass to the other side, because sajdah is an ibaadat-e-maqsoodah, so if a person does an ibaadat-e-maqsoodah and then goes out the other way it will be jaaiz. Is this correct? Is there any other way out to this masla? Especially in places like the haram shareef and other big musjids, it becomes difficult to walk right around the musjid.

Q: What is required to turn a jamaat khana/musalla into a musjid?
