Q: A woman cannot enter a masjid in the state of haiz. What is regarded as the masjid in Madinah and Al Aqsa? Is it only the building or till the gates of the masjid boundary?

Q: Please comment on the practice of erecting flat screen TVs in the Musjid for the purpose of displaying salaah times and notices. The 'Ulama always told us that selling TVs are haraam, but now it seems acceptable to buy TVs for use in the Musjid.

Q: Those that advocate continuing closure of the Masajid, even for individual worship pose 3 questions:

1. Is it permissible to use the lighting in the Masjid for times other than when collective worship takes place?

2. Did Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam encourage individual at home or the Masjid?

3. Are Masjids built for collective or individual worship?

These 3 points or questions rather are being used to promote the continuing closure of the Masajid. Are these valid points? I suspect they are not, and have some proofs, but I can’t be certain if they are correct.

Q: Is it a sunnah practice to burn incense in the musjid or the home on a Friday?

Q: If I am in a state of janaabat and I say bismillah before entering the masjid, is it kufr because I said bismillah before doing something haram (entering the masjid in the state of janaabat)?

Q: Our Masaajid here in the UK tend to have a table tennis table or pool table at the rear of the masjid to attract the youth to come to the masaajid or organise a trainee to train them to boxing etc. Would that be permissible or would it be considered لهو ولعب ?? Jzk

Q: On the 24th of September, which is heritage day, many masaajid have open days in which they allow non-Muslims (men and women) to enter the musjid in order to learn about Islam. Please explain whether it should be encouraged or not?

Q: Can a person collect money from the congregation before the bayaan/Khutbah of Jumuah?

Q: My husband bought some damaged Qurans from the local masjid to our home around 18 months ago. He repaired the broken spines and returned many. However he has kept a few in our house and also in my in laws house because they are large print. At the time I raised my concern they are community property. Im concerned they are waqf, perhaps donated by someone in the community for local charity, and now we have them in our house and my in laws house. Neither house (mine or my in laws) refers to them.

Should we return the Qurans or keep them? If we must return them what should we do as repentance?

Q: Is there any sunnat actions to carryout when opening a new musjid?
