Q: My mother is a drug addict and has been one since I was 15 and now I am 28. Q: I have heard that oil prevents the water from reaching the roots of the hair. Now I am confused. If oil is applied to the hair will the ghusl be valid or do we have to use shampoo or soap to remove the oil?

Q: A woman gets yellow, white and green colour discharge frequently. She does not get her periods monthly. She might get it only two or three times in a year.

The question is that after each fifteen days she counts the yellow or green discharge. Sometimes there is a discharge with red streaks as her period if she gets it for three days consecutively. Thereafter if she gets the discharge, after 1 or 3 days break also. She completes the haiz period as 10 days. Is this the right way? What if she gets gets only yellow or very light yellow or green discharge in the period of haiz? Should it be counted as haiz?

Q: If a husband gives one talaq over the phone saying "I give you talaq in presence of 2 witnesses" and the wife was in menstruation. Does this talaq take place and what is the time to reconcile as she is far away and her husband is not willing to talk. Some say within 40 days or else the talaq takes place. Is this true? This incident happened on August 7. She cant go back to the country anytime before September 10 or so. Also make dua for this couple that Allah Ta'ala reunite them and keep them with aafyiat. This whole thing happened due to a huge misunderstanding and argument.

Q: How do we calculate safar distance in the following cases: 

1. From the boundry of the town to the boundry of the next town or to the suburb we intend going?

2. If travlling from Pietermaritzburg to Virginia what boundry will I use, Virginia or Durban boundry?

Q: I have my friend from France and he asked me this question:

His father was a Catholic before, and now he's a Muslim. When his father was a Catholic, he was a good leader to them but when he became a Muslim, he is always angry at them even though they don't do bad things. Q: I have a very embarrassing question but I can't handle it anymore. The thing is that I am in my twenties, I don't masturbate or speak to any guys but I toss and turn at night.
