Making a condition that husband cannot take a second wife while married to the first wife

Q: I once asked my ustaaz whether it is okay for a woman to state in the nikaah contract that while she is married to the man he cannot get another wife. I was told that it is incorrect to do such a thing because it is permissible to have more than one wife and you are not allowed to make it impermissible upon him. Basically you can't make haraam upon him that which is halaal. Could this please be clarified.

Living in the same house with one's ex-husband

Q: I have a few questions to ask regarding divorce. I was married to my cousin for 7 years, he came to Canada last year in 2016 and tried to break my virginity; however, he was unable to break my virginity. After that he never came near me. I got divorced this year in the beginning of August. He is still living in the same house where I live in but in different bedrooms. I would like answers for 3 questions:

1. He is my na-mahram now so should he be living in the same house as me?

2. I received a divorce from the Canadian government, but does my ex husband have to say divorce 3 times to me for me to be legally divorced in Islam?

3. How long is my iddah period and what are the restrictions associated with it ? I work full time so how will my iddah period work?

Jokingly divorcing one's wife on WhatsApp

Q: I was working in the Gulf 20 days back and I sent my wife's sister a WhatsApp message as joke. I wrote: "I don't like you and your family so talaq talaq talaq. So tell me how much I have to pay and you are my sister" I was just joking and I don't know much about talaq, only what I see on tv news. I am in India but my wife is telling me that I have given her talaq so everything ends now and I should go back home. Allah knows I was just joking and really I don't know about talaq laws.

Pimple bursting while making wudhu

Q: I have got a fat pimple or wound, which is still open. Its on my hand. It does not bleed when it is dry but when water passes on it, it gets wet, and water sits on it. When I put a tissue on it, the tissue gets stained with a dot of red or yellow colour, a little bigger than a dot. So my question is that since its on my hand, how do I do my wudhu? And the water that touches the wound is paak or napaak?

Talking to someone about one's problems

Q: Is it allowed to tell someone your problems? I have been struggling from depression and anxiety kind of stuff. I didn't tell anybody about it so it got worse. I know alhamdullila, that only Allah can cure this and get me out of this but can I tell someone like sharing with someone and is it allowed to tell an Aalim of Deen about your problems as I faced problems and I didn't tell anyone about it so it got worse.

What type of pants is best for women to wear under their abaya?

Q: What type of pants is best for a women to wear under their abaya? It is usually said women should not wear a pants with a zip? Imitates a man's dressing. And it should be a pants with elastic, however the formal pants with a zip etc. does not reveal ones shape of the legs, if one wears a pants with an elastic band and it's strech, it's more likely ones shape will be revealed? Due to fabric sticking to each other. Is it permissible to wear a huge abaya with a formal pants with a narrow bottom under? Is that modest?

Non-mahrams visiting a widow and seeing to her needs

Q:

1. My mother in law is presently observing her iddat. Owing to the fact that her son and husband have passed on and her brothers live far off, I take the responsibility of taking her out of the house for necessary needs e.g. hospital visits., etc. Am i allowed?

2. The second query would be regarding other ghair mahram men. Are they allowed to visit her at home? Is she allowed to go with them to any place that is deemed unnecessary? I think that she is not allowed to. She has recently left the house with an uncle of hers (not related by blood) for a few hours. Her reasoning is that he is an elder. Please clarify for me. Does my deceased father in law incur any azaab as well?
