Qurbaani & Halaal Slaughter

Q: What is the Shar’ee ruling in the situation where a person living in one country wishes to perform his qurbaani in another country? The days of qurbaani commence one day earlier in the country where he wishes to perform qurbaani compared to the country in which he is living. In this case, if his animal is slaughtered on the first day of Eid in the country where he wishes to perform his qurbaani, will his qurbaani be valid, bearing in mind that the days of Eid have not yet commenced in his country?

Q: Could Mufti Saheb kindly explain the correct procedure regarding the distribution of 7 shares of the qurbani carcass of a big animal?

How stringent is the rule of equal shares and what leeway is there for any shortcomings in the equal distribution of the meat?

The immediate distribution of the animal is difficult where a large number of cattle are slaughtered in the same facility, and often all the shareholders are not even present. The carcass is also cut into quarters and put into cold storage. It is only sliced a few days or even few weeks later.

In this regard, what is the Sharee position of the following:

1. Can all the seven shareholders appoint the farm owner as the wakeel to allocate the shares?

2. Can the wakeel then do part of the distribution immediately after the slaughter, such as allocate one trotter each to each shareholder and parts of the offal to the rest, then give any shareholder his share of the trotters or offal or distribute it to the poor on his behalf with his permission in his absence?

3. If the part distribution immediately upon slaughter as mentioned in 2 above is valid, must the distribution of the remainder of the shares after slicing still be totally equal, or with the consent of all the parties, will some greater / lesser amount in the shares be overlooked?

Q: If a persons qurbaani animals horn is broken at the time of slaughtering, will this animals horn be weighed on the day of qiyaamah?

Q: A family will be going to perform hajj from Pakistan. They will do qurbani for the hajj in sha Allah. Do they need to perform another qurbani that all other Muslims perform on eid?

Q: Can a non-Muslim helper hold the animal whilst reading and making zabah of the animal for qurbani?

Q: I wanted to find out if guns and bullets (rounds) are considered a need or an extra thing? If a person posseses a gun, is qurbani necessary on him? I've heard that extra things like frames and things in your home are considered in this matter when counting nisaab for qurbani. Please advice

Q: Is it makrooh to eat tripe and kidneys of an animal? Someone was told the tripe, organs which hold waste are makrooh to eat. Is it true?
