Q: My husband gave me divorce 1 time and my iddat has also got finished. Is there any way I can go back to my husband if he contacts me.
Q: My husband (hanafi) was previously married to a shafi girl from a certain town. Things never worked out due to family influence on her side and she went back to her home town. She approached the ulama in her town for help and the ulama sent my husband a letter stating that he has to attend a meeting at a given date and time. My husband never attended the meeting nor answered the calls from her or from the Ulama. Thereafter he received another letter stating that his then wife is requesting for a faskh with a request for another meeting. My husband never attended that meeting as well. He received another letter stating that the faskh went through and that he must go to sign the necessary documents, but never done so.
4 Months after the fasigh went through he proposed to me and we got married 3 months there after, alhamdulillah. Now a few weeks ago, the matter came about, suggesting that he is still married to his first wife.
Regarding the given situation above I need advice on the following:
- Is he still married to her?
- If he is, what steps should he take?
- What are my rights? (At the time of the proposal I never knew he got "divorced" and when he proposed I said that I cannot be a second wife.)
Q: If a husband tells his wife that if you dont fix your attitude then you go. Would that be divorce?
Q: What does Allah say in the case of separation of husband and wife. The father wants to keep two children and gives the other two children to the mother even though the mother is willing to keep all the children but the father is forcefully keeping them..
Q: Wife asked her husband a question. The question is: Who writes divorced in marital status on visa forms? Husband said: Maye someone was divorced and wants to visit abroad then he will write divorced as his marital status. The husband had no bad intention. He just said that to explain to his wife. The wife is worried that divorce took place.
Q: Recently I had a fight with my wife. And in the fight, my wife said angrily that she wants this relationship to end. I unintentionally nodded my head without realising what she had said. I then immediately realised that I have given her assent for something wrong. I am confused whether first talaq has happened or not.
Q: If someone say you are free to stay here or leave me and its your choice. Would that be divorce?
Q: I took khula from my husband of 2 years and completed my iddah of 1 hayz and we have a son together. Now I see my mistake and want to remarry him. Can I reconcile with him and if I can, what will the procedure be?
Q: If a man do not pray in weeks or even in months, does his nikah to his wife break and does he have to do nikah again with his wife?
Q: I had a nikkah before 8 months and before nikkah we agreed about haq mahr which was 300000 pk RS but during writing the nikkah, the father of the girl changed his mind without even informing me and asked to write 4000$ insteed of 300000 pk RS.
Also, he added a condition that if I give talak (breaking of nikkah ) before marriage, I have to pay 6000$ if I give talak after marriage, I have to pay 15000$. I was shocked and tried to ask why all this changed. The witness told me that it's ok because I'm not going to give talak. It's just a formality, so I accepted out of respect because they will be my family.
Later on we agreed about the day of marriage and they asked for the remaining money. I sent it to them and the remaining 100000, I told them that I will pay it later. They said ok and we agreed about the shaadi date.
All of a sudden the girl and her dad changed their mind again and asked for more money and the girl said she wants to continue studying and I have to wait if I love her.
At this moment I called for help and for a separation and I wanted to break this relationship. What will the consequences be and what do I have to do now? Will they deserve the have of haq mahr as mentioned in Quran or they have to return all my money and what about the condition of 6000$?
