Q: If I know a Surah of by heart but play a recording of it whilst reading (to make sure I do not make mistakes), will my Tilaawah (e.g. of my night Surahs) be complete?

Q: I had started to read the holy Quran a few days back before Ramadaan and completed it during Ramadan and also finished another full khatam in Ramadan. My question is will this count as reading two khatams in Ramadaan? Or only one which I fully read in Ramadaan? Please explain.

Q: If one is reading an Islamic book that happens to have an ayat of the Quran in it, does one need to have wudhu to read this book? I am reading a book on the fundamentals of Islam and there are a few verses from the Quran throughout this book. Do I need to have wudhu to read this book or can I read this book without wudhu as long as I do not touch the verses that are written?

Q: In surah faatiha, in the 13 line script we use, after the first ayat there is the laam alif (continue without stopping sign). However we hear the hadith where Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said to the effect that one should read the first ayah and stop, the second and then stop etc. What should one do, stop or continue?
Learning the Qur'an before accepting Islam
Q: I was hoping you could please advise me. I am not a Muslim, but Inn Shaa Allah I will revert. I do however want to learn more about Islam before making a decision. I am currently going to an Apa that is helping me with Islmaic history. Is it permissible for her to start teaching me the Quraan if I make wudhu? Can I start learning Arabic alphabets, duas and surahs?
