Husband unhappy to accept khula

Q: I requested my husband to give me permission for Khula a day before my menses date, although he didn't want to give khula he accepted my request and said ‘I give you permission for Khula’. I tried to return his haq meher but he refused to take it and said he forgives it. Upon insisting he took 5000 out of 5 lac.

After that I came back to my parents house and I assumed my Iddah started, after few hours the same day I had my menses.

Please note all this happened only between me and my husband. There was no witness except Allah.

My question is, is my Khula valid? Are we no longer husband and wife? Because as per my husband he said he didn’t want to give khula from his heart, he only gave his consent on my request and it might not be the right procedure for Khula. Please guide me.

Terminating the pregnancy after four months

Q: My husband and I have been married for 20 years and we have tried our best to have children during this time. I have pursued fertility treatments for 16 years but was unable to conceive. After numerous consultations and duaas we decided to opt for adoption and 2 years ago welcomed a baby boy through that in our lives.

Now with no treatment of any kind, I have conceived SubhanAllah. It has been 6 weeks and my body has shown numerous signs of health issues. I have been hospitalized twice for various conditions that doctors cannot treat until the end of pregnancy. I was also recently diagnosed with diabetes, under active thyroid and debilitating anxiety and for all those I am required to take medication.

The baby seems to be okay for now, but the toll on my health so early on is unprecedented. I live in the United States and here doctors never tell you what’s right for you. They only present the conditions and let patients decide.

In a situation like this, where both physical and mental health are compromised is abortion allowed as a consideration?

Wife insisting on keeping talaaq a secret

Q: I gave 1st talaaq in 2011, 2nd in 2017 and then 6 months passed without reconciliation. After the matter was intervened by families we went to an aalim in Pakistan and he made a new nikah with a new mahar.

Today I gave her 3rd Talaaq. I don't want to stay with her anymore but she is insisting to keep the talaaq secret so that she will do a halaala after 90 days.

She is also refusing to leave my house after iddat. We both are from Pakistan.

Do I have an obligation to tell her family that I have divorced her. What can I do if she refuses to leave my house after iddat period.

Muslim vet treating pigs

Q: I've recently encountered a vet who works with pigs. I've tried to encourage her that pigs are impure animals but she claims we not allowed to consume or touch its carcus which to my knowledge is correct but my question is, Can we as Muslims touch and love pigs like how the kufr do?

Revoking a talaaq

Q: I did not know that after giving one talaq the marriage is still intact.

So after divorce I said to myself that my nikah is not anymore and once said to my wife that I can't talk to you now... Is this one talaq ?

Husband telling his wife "I am leaving you"
