Q: There is a book I read called "100 stories of Hazrat Aaishah (radhiyallahu anha) by Mufti Afzal Hoosen Elias".
One of the chapters that sparked my curiosty was "Her concern for the Aakhirah" It was about how she was overcome by the Surah At Toor aayat 27. The translation of the ayat is: "However, Allah has favoured us and saved us from the punishment of the scorching wind."
The book stated that she was so overcome by this aayat that she kept on reciting it repeatedly, weeping more each time. I want to know a little more about this aayat (tafseer), why was it so powerful that it made her weep so much?
Q: When we help others or show kindness towards others, what intention should we have? Shall we help others out of the goodness of our heart or help others because this is what God wants us to do? Do we get rewarded by God if we help others because its good thing to do?
Q: During the November and December seasons, stores and businesses across the country have X mas, Black Friday and festive season sales.
Is it ok to purchase an item on sale during these times, not because of the festive seasons, etc. but simply because, example a sandal is 50 percent off if purchased between Nov -Dec.
Also, if a person takes a car for a service, and the company offers an extra car service at a discounted price during this time, would it be ok to get a service at a discounted price... or should a person wait for maybe January and then do a service and pay the full price or purchase example, a sandal in January at a full price?
Q: A person owns a yard in which there is a mango tree. The neighbour claims that her late mother planted the tree. To whom does the tree/mangoes belong to?
Q: I want to go on umrah with my mother. We don’t have a mahram, so what should we do?
Can we travel alone because as per new rule of Saudia, women can go. Please guide.
Q: What is the case of a person or country who rejoices by the victory of a team in a sport that transgresses the limits of Shariah, and claims that Allah has supported this team, that Allah is on their side, that Allah made them triumph over the kafirun? There is mixing of the sexes, music is always played, and the awrah is not covered at all at these sporting gatherings.
I am completely overwhelmed by the behavior of my Muslim brothers.
Q: Beside the kidney and the liver, what other animal organ meat is permissible?
Q: Reports are coming in that 558 people have converted to Islam during the Qatar World Cup so far. Some are using this as an argument to say that what they are doing is a good thing by hosting the tournament as it’s bringing people closer to Islam. They say that they’ve invited Islamic speakers (Dr. Zakir Naik) and have put up posters of Ahaadith and Azan on loudspeakers which will bring people to Islam (as shown by recent shahadahs).
Kindly comment on this.
Q: I am a young mom and don't work because of my little one. My husband isn't earning much so I recently started a business from home to at least fullfil my own needs. I sell online women's western clothes like skirts, cropped tops, jeans, etc.
I invested some money in it (my small savings I had) but the other day a thought came to my mind if it's halaal to sell such kind of clothes. Having said that most of my customers are Christians. Can you please help me if it's okay to sell such clothes to non-Muslim women?
