Marital problems

Q: I recently did a nikaah with my first cousin from Pakistan. This was my fathers choice and happiness. Deep down I wanted to marry somebody from here who I was deeply interested in. I have never spoke to this person but I have seen her around people and she performs her Salaah on time. Please consider I have never spoken to this person but I wanted to marry her, from UK. Anyway I married my cousin in hope that she is a practising Muslim and she will follow Islam completely, and we will have an understanding based on this. But unfortunately it's the total opposite. She prays Alhamdulilah but other things such as hayaah around males, hijaab or even adab with me, I can't bare it. I still have feelings for this sister from UK and I want to re marry. I want to divorce my cousin. What do I do? I fear family fights, break ups. My mother has already passed away and my father is 67. What must I do? I know if I were to remain married with my cousin, it would be difficult because bringing up kids in western society and for her to get used to it is very hard. I know the sister from here will definitely understand this society. Please give some advice. Jazaak'Allah

Impurities

Q: A few days ago I had a very good chat with my mum about impurities and how it transfers from one objective to another. She sounded like she understood that impurities transfer. I fell satisfied. Today I saw her changing the nappy of my nephew. She didn't wash her hands and she wrapped the baby in one of her scarfs. I doubt whether her she will wash the scarf or not. If I tell her wash it, she might say yes or even wash it but I think when I am not home how they will deal with it. She will be using all daily objects which I use when I come home. I can't avoid touching them. What should I do? She thinks I have OCD. She doesn't care I think.

Impurities on blankets and pillows

Q: During intimate relations between husband and wife usually they touch each others private parts and the same hands touch the sheets and pillows etc or some impurity falls on bed or pillow or blankets. Do we have to wash the blankets and pillows or is changing pillow covers and blanket covers and sheets sufficient?

Talaaq via a message

Q: I am married for five years and we have a 3 year old son. Alhamdulillah we used to live in Saudi Arabia but because of our financial status I came to India since 1 year and he comes on vacations. He loves me a lot and I also loves him. We both take care of each other very well and we both are very loyal to each other in everything. But my husband is a very aggressive person. In aggression he will loose control of himself. He says whatever he tells its right, if sometimes I try to correct him at that time he starts to fight. But I control myself and avoid arguments. Once over a silly argument he told me talaaq through a message but next day he apologised for it. As he said it in anger with out any intention of it, I also forgave him at that time only. But again second time after few months without any real reason in anger and tension on a argument he told me talaaq lelo aur jaao ' through a message. I am very confused with this kind of behaviour. I don't understand what to do. I am sure that he will call and talk with me by tomorrow. Insha Allah. Even he will be sorry for it. But I don't have any Islamic knowledge about this. Is it considered as a real talaaq or as it was unintentional so we can ignore it? Is there any kaffara for it. Please let me know and help me regarding this matter.

Walimah

Q: I need your advice. My daughter intends to get married but only wants nikaah the Sunnah way. She does not want a wedding. The groom is having a walimah. Will it be right to contribute half the expense and invite some more of my family to the walimah?

Charging an extra fee for late payment

Q: I go to university and the university have said that the fees for the second semester will be 4000 euros, and they announced a deadline by which the money had to be paid by, and they said that anyone wishing to pay the money after this period of time would have to pay 4000 euros and a small percentage of the original fee on top, and the extra fee that will be paid will increase every day after the deadline day. So for example, if I paid three days over the deadline the university would charge me 4003 euros and if I paid 7 days I would be charged 4007 euros and 8 days would be 4008 euros etc. If i was to pay after their deadline, would this considered to be riba, despite the fact that I am not borrowing money from a bank to pay the fee?
