Q: I often sell goods on lay-by. It is becoming more frequent that the buyer cancels the lay-by after having paid part of the agreed amount. I then refund him the paid amount.
When this happens, is it permissible for me to charge the buyer a handling fee or admin fee of say 10%?
Q: I currently run a printing business where I print tissue paper for businesses. This will have their logo printed onto it so they can use this for packaging products.
Occassionly I get orders such as a logo and 'Christmas at Next' written underneath. Is it permissible to print this or not?
Q: Is it permissible to charge a customer just for a quote on the items they want? I know some people who are charging R50 to give a customer a quote on maybe 15 items. After that, if the customer comes back and buys about 6 of those items, they will refund their R50. If they don't buy any items or buy less than 6 items, they do not get refunded.
Q: Around 5 months ago, I had purchased two 1oz Silver Kruger Rands online from a website. I paid them the full amount due and a few days later they delivered the coins to me.
Was this transaction permissible and if not, what is due upon me?

Q: A Muslim company confirmed the price of a product with me at R1800. They said stock will come in a few months.
A few months later the product comes and they say I must pay R2200. I said that you confirmed the price at R1800. The company says that price was then, and now it changed because of USD exchange rate. But previously he confirmed R1800 and never mention USD exchange rate.
I waited months to buy it from them and did not inquire elsewhere because they confirmed the price and my order at R1800.
Please advise:
(1) Is their action as above permissible?
(2) If permissible, is it in conformity with Islamic values? I am annoyed because I waited to buy it from them specifically at their confirmed price. I could have bought it elsewhere all these months.
Q: There is an online app in which you get a daily job by investing some money by liking and subscribing to different YouTube channels and uploading them to the app. It gives daily money on account of investment. Like invest 15000 rs and have to do 10 daily tasks and get 600 rs daily. Is it halal?

Q: I am doing online work. The process of this work is that they have websites where we can work. They have the process that first we have to choose the package. I have chosen a package of 1000 rupees. It is a silver package. I have to see ads daily. One ad for one day. 1 ad will give me 60 rupees. This package is valid for 30 days. I will make 1800 rupees from there by watching ads daily on this website. After a month I can withdraw this amount in my easy paisa account. They cut out some service charges and give me 1700 or something. So I wanna know that if this money is halal for me or haram?
