Q: I recently received the following message: Ihyaaud-Deen WhatsApp Broadcasts *Wearing black clothing in the month of Muharram*

Q: In South Africa, should one avoid wearing black clothing during Muharram as the Shias wear black clothing?

A: Yes, if wearing black clothing has some resemblance with the Shias then this should be avoided.

My question is, I wear niqaab, majority of my clothing is black, because I simply love wearing black. Whenever I go out of my house, I have gloves that are black, a jilbaab that is black as well as a niqaab that is black. Even in my house I wear black most of the time. Can I wear black clothing without the intention of following the shi'ahs?

Q: Is applying oud halaal or haraam since in many oud's, the producers add alcohol although the alcohol is evaporated at about 15°C to 20°C (as per the producers comments)?

Q: I read in Behashti Zewar that it is not permissible for women to wear artificial rings.

1. Since I was unaware of this ruling, I already have many such rings that I used to wear. What should be done with those rings?

2. I have given rings as gifts to many women in the past and my jewellery business gave me profit from selling artificial rings. Will I be sinful for this? What should I do now?

Q: Can Muslim women wear short tops, t-shirts and loose pants at home? Can women wear khimar over t-shirts or tops during salaah?

Q: Can a male or female tint his/her hair black or any other colour, if their hair is black? 

Q: What is the ruling/status regarding the pants above the ankles in terms of the following:

1. Folded up above the ankles only during salaah times.

2. Pants/jeans folded up at all times above the ankles

Q: Is it allowed to pluck the extra hairs on the eyebrows if a woman has broad and irregular eyebrows. She is not doing it to keep thin the eyebrows. It is only to look good for her husband.

Q: What is the sunnah way in dressing? Is it a particular dress like a jubbah or do particular body parts need to be covered?

Q: I just wanted to ask why is getting a tatoo haraam? 

Q: I wanted to know how is it for girls or ladies to wear denim skirts or any other dress, etc. made of denim fabric if it's full length and loose fitting.
