Questions relating to qiraat

Q: I have a question about Qiraat. I have heard there are ten different Qiraat. Please kindly explain and also is Qiraat reading in a beautiful voice like where your voice goes high and low. Please kindly explain in detail as we would like to study Qirat and not sure which is correct.

Wahi

Q: This is just a small enquiry to help me to understand something a little better. The number of times that Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) received revelation from Hazrat Jibraeel (Alayhis Salaam). I have read that it is as many as 23000 times? Does this figure sound correct (I could be remembering incorrectly or maybe there was a typing mistake in what I read). The reason I wonder whether this figure is correct, is because the Qur'an has almost 6300 ayats, and some surahs were revealed at all at once, but there were also times that only a part of an ayat was revealed, so I thought (probably mistakenly) that a figure around 6300 would be more correct. If possible, please kindly explain if 23000 is correct.

Reciting Ta'wuz and Tasmiyah before reciting an Aayat in kitaab reading

Q: When reading a kitaab, like Fazaa'il-e-A`maal for example, one often comes across a single verse or several short verses of the Qur'an Shareef being quoted. (1) Before reciting such a verse, must one recite Ta'wuz and Tasmiyah? (2) Can one just read the English translation below the verse and not the actual Arabic verse itself?
