Q: Is it permissible to have a musjid open day where non-Muslims are invited to the musjid with the intention of dawah and presenting Islam to them? In today’s times, we find that this practice is becoming common in various places. Is this practice in conformance with the sunnah?
Q: If a person went into a room in the masjid where him and others were told not to go but they went and put the lights on during Taraweeh and they didn’t pray and they talked lustfully about female college teachers. Would this amount to Kufr and would there be payment required for having the lights on?
Q: I once lost a pair of slippers in the musjid and the khadim bhai gave me a pair from in front of the bathroom to wear. His intention was that I should wear them home and then return with them to put them back. However, I ignorantly started to wear them as my own. A couple of years passed and by the taufeeq of Allah Azza Wa Jal, I realized that they were not mine to keep and amends had to be made.
The slippers are still with me but they are torn and very battered. The underside is completely smoothed out so they are a hazard to wear now. I did take a pair of my own slippers and gave them to the musjid's bathrooms as compensation. But I did not think that it was sufficient. I bought a new pair of slippers with the intention of giving them to the musjid as well but they are still in my possession. Should I give some money to the musjid's donation box to make it even?
Q: I wanted some guidelines for being a Mutawalli of a Trust and Musjid or Madrasah.
1. Does the Mutawalli have to follow Shar'ī rulings or government law?
2. Is it true that the Mutawalli cannot be the one who places protocols against the sharī'ah in the Musjid?
3. Can the Musjid Trust Money be used for buying flower pots and flowers for decorating the Musjid?

Q: We have many left behind/lost items in our musjid. Perishable items are also left behind. We wish to make signage boards stating that: Any item left behind or lost will be kept for 7 days and thereafter disposed off. Is this correct?
What about perishable /food times?
Q: Insha Allah, our masjid will be doing some extensions. We will be extending by putting an upper floor. I wanted to find out, if the ground floor has a masjid and a sehen, is it permissible for us to make the entire upper floor a masjid without having a sehen?
For example, if the bottom floor is 500 square meters (300 sqm is the masjid and 200 sqm sehen). Can we make the entire upper floor (500 sqm) masjid?
Q: A woman cannot enter a masjid in the state of haiz. What is regarded as the masjid in Madinah and Al Aqsa? Is it only the building or till the gates of the masjid boundary?
Q: Please comment on the practice of erecting flat screen TVs in the Musjid for the purpose of displaying salaah times and notices. The 'Ulama always told us that selling TVs are haraam, but now it seems acceptable to buy TVs for use in the Musjid.
Q: Those that advocate continuing closure of the Masajid, even for individual worship pose 3 questions:
1. Is it permissible to use the lighting in the Masjid for times other than when collective worship takes place?
2. Did Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam encourage individual at home or the Masjid?
3. Are Masjids built for collective or individual worship?
These 3 points or questions rather are being used to promote the continuing closure of the Masajid. Are these valid points? I suspect they are not, and have some proofs, but I can’t be certain if they are correct.
