Q: Reports are coming in that 558 people have converted to Islam during the Qatar World Cup so far. Some are using this as an argument to say that what they are doing is a good thing by hosting the tournament as it’s bringing people closer to Islam. They say that they’ve invited Islamic speakers (Dr. Zakir Naik) and have put up posters of Ahaadith and Azan on loudspeakers which will bring people to Islam (as shown by recent shahadahs).

Kindly comment on this.

Q: An aalim was trying to emphasise how Allah is free of faults. He said "If you look at Sahaaba, you will find some fault. If you look at Ambiyaa, you will find some fault. But Allah is faultless".

Is it permissible for him to say that there were faults in Ambiyaa?

Q: We know that Allah Ta'ala is Wajib ul Wujood (the necessary existence/existent). So can we call Allah Ta'ala as "Ya Wajib ul Wujood"?

Q: Recently we've been hearing alot about this 8 intentions. Can you please provide us with a clear response as many people are lost.

The 8 intentions that we should try to do before and during every action however small or big the action is.

1. Oh Allah only you are giving me the Taufeeq to do this Amal (action) and its outcome is only in your hands.

2. Oh Allah I am doing this Amal because it is your command and a Sunnah of Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. (Think of some commands of Allah and Sunnahs related to the action)

3. Think of some virtues of the action that are promised by Allah and Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam.

4. Oh Allah You are watching me, You can hear me, You know what is in my heart and You are with me.

5. Oh Allah I am not fit to do this action. (Think of your sins at this point). Oh Allah all others who are doing this action are your slaves through the blessing of their action accept mine too.

6. Oh Allah I am doing this Amal only for Your pleasure. Grant me the ability to please You and protect me from Your anger.

7. Oh Allah accept this action of mine and make it a means for my Hidayat (guidance) and the Hidayat of humanity till Qiyamah.

8. After the action make Shukr to Allah and Tauba with remorse.

Note: The value of an action will be determined by the intentions it is done with. The intention with which an action is done is more valuable than the action itself. (Hadeeth)

Q: My cousin is a Hafiz Alhamdulillah. He is pious but he wont do any Tabligh work. He wont tell people to pray or to leave out sins. He leads Taraweeh every year and he is busy in his life. My other cousin is a doctor. He is also pious Alhamdulillah he does Tabligh work with his doctor profession.

My question is, on the Day of Qiyamah, whose status will be higher; this doctor who is doing Tabligh or this Hafiz?

Q: I wanted to ask for a fatwah on a topic related to Halloween. Universal studios theme park hosts an event called horror nights during the month of October. The theme park stays open after it’s normal operating times and has its rides open with scary themed characters that scare the people attending.

The price for the ticket is a little less than the day park ticket and is not used or donated for anything other than park profit. Would it be haraam to go to horror nights?

Q: What is sunnah of wearing an imaamah (turban) e.g. length, colour, etc.?

Q: If someone slaughters an animal for the jinn, is this major shirk?

Q: Do any of these constitute as SPECFICALLY SHIRK/KUFR (have I come out of the fold of Islam for these things):

1. Playing video games that have magic in them, voluntarily pressing buttons that make the character use magic?

2. Saving digital pictures/art online in a personal online account like Pinterest or Discord, using them as profile pictures or sending them to other people? (NOT producing/making them myself)

3. Watching videos of haraam stuff or people doing haraam stuff like playing a game, animated show, dancing, singing, drawing, or just of animate objects even if you do not believe that these are halaal actions or disallow shirk in your heart/mind?

4. Making up/imagining/daydreaming scenarios in your head where you have a completely different life as a non-muslim in a world without God, committing shirk or doing haraam things even if you would not do so in this life/reality and do not actually believe it in? Basically imagining myself imitating kufaars in another world because of a desire to mindlessly engage in worldly fun like other people where you wouldn’t be held accountable?

5. Enjoying viewing or talking about haraam stuff, like watching a dance and saying “it was a good dance” and NOT “dance is allowed in Islam” or like discussing what happened in a picture novel with people?

6. Talking casually with a kaafir online, not considered as a close friend, while making sure I do not engage with Shirk topics or explicitly encouraging their haraam ways/topics they bring up?
