Q: In iddat, can we change a rental house because of expenses?

Q: If a person comes to Makkah in ihraam but doesn't do Umrah and goes to Madinah and comes back again to Makkah and does Umrah. Is it valid? Is it mandatory once he comes to Makkah to do Umrah? He was in ihraam all time and didn't come out until umrah was completed?

Q: I have 2 investments and want clarity on my responsibility when it comes to zakaat.

1. I have purchased shares in company x for long term investment (probably 5 to 15 years). Do I pay zakaat on the quarterly/yearly dividends received or do I pay zakaat on the full value of the share?

2. I am investing in a retirement annuity, which is now only accessible upon my retirement. Do I pay zakaat yearly on the amount that is in my retirement account or would I only pay zakaat when the investment matures (when I retire)?

Q: Is it permissible for a woman in her menses to stand outside the Musjid in Madinah Munawarah near the green dome within the gates (in the courtyard)?

Q: Can women wear shoes with low heels? The shoes do not have any resemblance to men's shoes, do not make tapping sounds, and are worn under the abaaya so they are not visible.

Q: I have often heard that Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was fond of certain Surahs or Quraanic verses that he would often recite in Salaah. Please provide guidance on the namaaz/rakahs and surahs for:

1. Fajr
2. Zohr
3. Asr
4. Maghrib
5. Esha

Q: Please provide guidance on Salaah times.

1. I notice that some timetables stipulate Asr (Shafi) and Asr (Hanafi). There is usually a 70 minute difference between the 2 times.

1a. As I am Hanafi, what happens if I perform Asr at the time permitted for Shafi’s?

1b. At what time does Zuhr end, and Asr begin?

1c. As I am Hanafi, can I still read Zohr at the time that Asr for the Shafi’s commence?

2. Until what time can I perform Asr?

3. Until what time can I perform Maghrib?

4. Until what time can I perform Esha?
