Women wearing fancy clothes

Q: What is your opinion on women wearing fancy clothes to weddings as has become the habit nowadays. I am referring to events where there is full segregation and one attends in niqab and jilbaab however thereafter remove when only women present.

Also, is there fazeelat for those who adopt simplicity? My sister is getting married and family members are asking me to wear a nice dress. I generally wear a loose jubba in the house, so on the wedding day, would it be more preferable to wear what I normally wear or please the family and wear something nice. I have heard fazeelat for that person who adopts simplicity when he is able to wear something of higher rank.

Keeping figurines in the home

Q: I need advice regarding 2 small crystal figurines I have of lions and 1 porcelain Japanese lady - these are not idols they were purely for decorative reasons - except the Japanese lady I obtained when my grandmother passed away may Allah bless her soul and prior to me being a revert.

My concern is that by having these on the house even under those circumstances am I still sinning & risking the angels not entering our house? If so then if they are boxed away & not on display & hidden would that be permissible or will the angels still not enter? Do I need to actually put the box in storage away from my house or put with a non Islamic friend to store away for me? These items do hold some meaningful value to me however only on regards to my husband bought me the lions without realising and now is concerned & as mentioned above the item collected from my grandmothers passing.

Objections against zikr

Q: I was making the following zikr la ilaaha ilillah 100x , ilillah 100x and allah Allah 100x, thereafter a Somalian brother approached me saying that where do we learn this from as it is not in any hadith or quraan. So I replied by telling him that we get it from our ulema and he should consult with them as they will issue the necessary proofs. He seemed very disturbed and said that these are from people who made they own ways, and to an extent he mentioned that some were Shia''s, this has now brought some doubt. he also mentioned that in the books of azkaar , he have found La ilaaha ilillah amongst them, but never found Ilillah or Allah Allah on its own. Could hazrat please advise as it is still giving some doubts.

Subsidizing a loan sanction by the government

Q: I want to know about subsidizing loan sanction by the government under some scheme to minorities. It is the scheme run by the government on certain sectors. The scheme is:

25% amount of the scheme will be paid by the government and 75% of the loan will be directed to any bank to pay on interest. If we calculate the interest repayment it comes to nearly 25% which is already paid by the government. It means we get a loan with no interest and we have to pay only the principle amount. This type of loan scheme is only for particular sectors and eligibility criteria. As these types of schemes are particularly for minority community and many Muslims involve in it. Can this be halal? Please enlighten to us.

Charging a sponsorship fee to a foreigner

Q: I am working as a business sgent in UAE. As per law of UAE, any non-national investor must do a business agreement with a UAE nationality holder to set up any personal business in the UAE. For this business agreement, the UAE nationality holder charges an amount to the non-national investor and that amount is known as the sponsorship fee. As a business consultant, I settle the business agreement between the foreign investor and UAE national. For doing this service, the UAE nationality holder gives me a commission from his sponsor fee. Please advise me if this commission is halal or haram according to the ruling of Islam.
