Hajj & Umrah

Taking care of one's father

Q: I am a bit confused regarding a decision I have to make. I have performed hajj with my parents and 1 sister 4 years ago. Alhamdulillah, my other 2 sisters have been accredited and being their mahram am required to accompany them as my father’s health does not permit him to accompany them on hajj. Also to take into consideration, that they have been accredited previously but due to other commitments and finances, were unable to attend hajj. Also, Alhamdulillah, in the last year I got married and my wife is pregnant with our first child who is due around the 10th of October. Hajj being the period towards the end of September Insha Allah the 23rd September. My question is, what responsibility takes preference in this case.

Intention for performing Hajj

Q: My niyah for performing Hajj is for the pleasure of Allah, then also to earn reward in the hereafter and blessings in this world (Deeni, materially etc.). If one of my intentions are to ask from Allah in the blessed lands of Makkah and Medina, is this permissible or should I just focus on performing Hajj for the pleasure of Allah Ta'ala?

Putting on one's ihraam before passing the miqaat

Q: My friend is travelling for Umrah next week. He will land to Jeddah, from there he will travel to Makkah without making Ihraam and making Niyyat of Umrah. From the hotel after checking in he will go to Masjid-e-Ayesha with the niyyat of umrah and from there he will wear ihraam and will perform Umrah. Is it ok or is it mandatory that he has to make the niyyat from Jeddah?

Hajj accreditation

Q: I received accreditation for Hajj 2015 Alhamdulillah. Am I now considered called by that special calling from Allah Most High (Hujja)? Is this special invitation specific to time, place, condition of the heart or simply the decree of Allah Ta'ala realised in the way it will unfold e.g. accreditation, means etc.

Paying off debts before going for Hajj

Q: I have a car loan with 0% interest and 20% paid as down payment. The rest 80% value of the car shall be paid within two years as installment. Otherwise the car will be taken by the Bank. So I need to know whether I can go for Hajj this year without closing this loan by handing over the responsibility to my brother and leaving the car with him to return to the bank in case I am not able to repay due to death.
