Q: Does a woman that missed fasts due to her having her periods have to pay Fidyah for the days she missed?

Q: I had a period of 7 days. I was bleeding on my 7th day but bleeding stopped by sehri of the 8th day. I took ghusal and started fasting but during the day, I bled little bit. I performed wudhu, cleaned my private place, kept roza, and read namaaz. Please explain to me if my roza broke or not? Do I have to take a shower again?

Q: I have heard that on Lailatul baarat it is sunnat to fast on 13, 14, and 15th Shabaan. Is it also mustahab to fast on the 15th only. Can one fast on the 14th &15th only?

Q: I have a disease of bleeding gums and there will be little blood in my mouth. I can’t keep on spitting whilst I am in the office and after I get up from sleep. When I spit there will be some blood on it, so I don’t know whether I had swallowed it or not. If it is swallowed while sleeping, will my fast be invalid? Are there any excuses?

Q: I am suffering from a mouth disease (pyorrhoea) in which blood comes out of the gums and sometimes enters the throat, so in this condition is my fast acceptable?

Q: Does Mufti Saheb agree with this quoted statement of Shah Saheb (rahimahullah) or does Mufti saheb have another view?

Q: My wife is 5 months pregnant and is unable to fast. When the baby is born, she will be breastfeeding, Insha Allah which would make difficult for her to make up the 30 fasts before the next Ramadan. Can she give out Fidyah in this case? If so, what is the monetary value (roughly) of the daily Fidyah amount?

Q: I live in the north of Finland. The sun rises at 02.30 am and sets at 10.35 pm. Do I have to fast for over twenty hours? 

Q: If I keep the six fasts of Shawaal with the niyyat of qadha, will I receive the special reward of these six fasts? Also, is it correct for fasts besides Ramadaan fasts, niyyat has to be made before subah saadiq?

Q: I made intention for sunnah Itikaaf, but while coming to the musjid, I got stuck in traffic. Thus, I entered the musjid two to five minutes late. Is my Itikaaf valid? Is it compulsory upon me to make it up the next year?
