Ramadhaan & Fasting

Many years of missed fasts

Q: My age is 45 now. I became baaligh at the age of thirteen. Without any reason I was not fasting in Ramadhaan, until my age of 22. But after that my life changed and I began to lead a pious life. As I'm a lady I miss rozas due to periods every ramadhan. Also I left full rozas in 2 Ramadhans due to pregnancy. I'm doing qaza of my rozas since the age of 22. But it has become a huge burden upon me as I have to make qaza of hundreds of rozas and also with the mudd that should be given to poor on each roza. Mudd also doubles each year as I could not make qaza of these hundreds of rozas in one year. I am a follower of the shafiee madhhab so I request pious solution for this big problem.

Fidyah if one is able to fast

Q: I have few farz rozas due to keep from last ramazan because of monthly period and one of them I left because of severe migraine headache.
Most of the time when I fast I have severe migraine headache with nausea which is quite severe. My question is can I give fitr for the above rozas or do I need to keep it despite the headache.

Inhaling steam while fasting

Q: I know that inhaling steam or smoke while fasting causes the fast to break. My question is that when cooking food while fasting, there is a great risk that steam will be inhaled. Will it be necessary to take precautions to avoid the steam by keeping a distance from the cooking food as much as possible? In the case where one inhales steam unintentionally, will one's fast break?

Fidyah

Q: I had a question about fasting for my mother. She is sick and on mediation? She can't fast do to sickness? Is she required to feed poor person or what she has to do?
