Q: I have question regarding Hajj. I have taken a loan from my father in 2018 of $65,000 for home purchase in order to avoid interest bearing transactions. Terms we decided were that I will pay when I have the ability to pay back and Alhamdulilah I have been paying back on a monthly basis and have reduced the remaining amount to $19000.
I have $70000 in 401K, cash balance around $8000. I own 50% of the house with my brother and a car (resale approx $5000 value).
My question here, is Hajj Fard on me right now?
If I decide to save for Hajj right now if Allah wills then it might be possible to save enough for Hajj (it might be possible that I may not be able to save enough or visa/qouta issue). But my loan from my dad will be still $19000. What should be my priority to first complete? If Hajj is not fard then can I go for Umrah?
Q: I performed umrah a couple of days ago. I was travelling from Madina to Makkah and I was sure ( i had نیت in my heart) about umrah. At Dhul-Hulaifah I put on two sheets (dress of ehraam) and offered two rakat nafil but I forget to say TALBIYA.
I departed for Makkah after performing nawafil of ehraam and after 5-10 minutes travelling I remembered about talbiya and I said the talbiya and niyat by tongue then and there. Is my umrah correct or do I have to pay any penalty/sadaqah?
Q: When making tawaaf for Umrah, men are required to make Ramal in the first 3 circuits. Do I need to make Ramal when I am making tawaaf at other times?
Q: When a women visits Makkah and Madina, would it be better for her 2 spend most of her time in the Haram and perform her salaahs behind the imaam OR should she only visit the Haram when she intends to make tawaaf and stay in her room majority of the time?
Q: I would like to find out if I have funds to perform umrah, should I do it or should I continue saving until I have enough money to perform my first hajj?
Q: I intend performing umrah next week Wednesday. I will be staying in Makkah for 5 days i.e. Wednesday to Sunday. I will be returning home on Monday. Am I allowed to visit Madinah just to convey my Salaam to Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) for just one day (Saturday) and return back to Makkah without donning ihram or performing another umrah again?
Q: Is there a duaa that I can read daily to go for umrah?
Q: I am a 52 year old single woman but by my appearance I look like 35 years. My question is, can I perform umrah in a group without a mahram. I am very strict about the umrah without a mahram but I also want to perform umrah. Please guide me.
Q: I'd like to seek guidance on below matters in relation to Ihram and Hajj:
1. Is it permissible to use an umbrella and sunglasses during the state of Ihram?
2. Is it permissible to use fragrance free sunscreen cream and body wash during the state of Ihram?
3. Is it permissible to use earphones during state of Ihram to listen to something or foam earplugs in ears to reduce noise while sleeping?
4. Is it permissible to use slipper shoes/sliders for men during ihram that cover some part of the top of the foot, however it keeps the heels, ankles and toes exposed?
5. If one's hair, nail or skin falls off unintentionally during ihram, does his state of ihram continue or need to offer dam and redo ihram intention?
6. Does a person offering Hajj and doing animal sacrifice at Makkah in relation to his Hajj also needs to offer Eid-ul Adha qurbani that he do every year or whether that's not required?
7. If a person offering Hajj for 1st time is also helping move parent on wheelchair during obligatory Tawaf and Saee offering, would his own Tawaf and Saee rites be offered at the same time if he makes such intention for himself as well, or does he need to offer his own Tawaf and Saee separately to complete his Hajj?
