Experiencing haidh while fasting

Q: A friend of mine bagan keeping a Shawwal fast. About 10:00 she decided to break her fast although she did not have a valid reason to. Is this permissible? Or does one have to have a valid reason to break a Shawwal fast?

Q: I'm a mother. I have a newborn child. So I'm feeding him breast milk. So further coming ramadan, I would like to stop this ramadhan from fasting. So can I do it, is it permissible to not fast in ramadan?
