Nikaah & Marriage Issues

Facing the qiblah while being intimate with one's wife

Q:

1. When I am intimate with my wife, we sometimes face the qiblah while kissing, hugging, rolling on bed, etc. But we are nude and we face the qiblah. Though we try to avoid it sometimes. Is is a sin to face the qiblah when nude, whether from the front side or back.

2. Although we know that we should put a sheet over ourselves while being intimate but sometimes knowingly we do it without a sheet and towards the qiblah. Are we sinning? We know that while relieving oneself one should not face the qiblah and we don’t do it while relieving.

Marrying a Shia

Q: I am a Sunni Muslim girl and I got a marriage proposal from a Shia friend of mine. I wanted to know if I can marry him.

Some of the things I would like to mention about him is that his family doesn’t do shirk in a way that they don’t put anyone else at Allah’s place like most of the other Shia’s do.

Secondly, we’ll do the sunni nikaah and my Uncle is an Aalim so he will read our nikaah. They don’t curse or say anything bad to our beloved Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu anhu), Hazrat Abu Bakar (radhiyallahu anhu) and Hazrat Usman Ghani (radhiyallahu anhu).

Kindly tell me if I can marry him and what conditions should there be if I haven’t mentioned them already here.

Parents explaining to their son about puberty and related issues

Q: My son is about to be 11 years old. My husband and I have started to observe the signs of puberty in him. My husband has decided to give him a talk about the respective topic including sex. The concern is my husband states that the mother of the child must be present whenever this talk is to take place so that if a child has any query regarding the topic concerning the role of a female, a mother is the best source to provide an answer with basic guidelines. In Islam, is the presence of mother a must with respect to above situation?

Hurmat-e-musaaharah if one did not get an erection

Q: Does hurmat-e-musaaharah become established if a person does not get any movement/erection in his private part, but he is not sure if he gets any arousing feeling in his private part. He was also feeling scared and in his heart he had thoughts like he was feelimg lust however he did not get any erection/movement. He was scared that he will cause hurmat. He did not get any sexual thoughts (which may have triggered lust).

Undergoing surgery to become impotent

Q: I am an unmarried male close to my thirties. My urges have become very extreme and sometimes out of control. My parents are not agreeing on getting me married. I am now very worried due to the fear that I might fall into the sinful act of zina due to my extreme urges. My question is that is it ok in Islam if I kill my sex drive permanently or become impotent by my own wish in order to avoid adultery?

Time limit for walimah

Q: Please advise whether there is a time limit when a walima needs to be held after a Nikaah.

My brother is making Nikaah and was advised that his Walima must be within 7 days. I live in a seperate house and cannot attend due to national lockdown regulations on movement. We expect regulations to be eased by the end of June, is it impermissible to wait until the end of June?
