Salaah

Q: My husband insists that my 9 year old son cannot offer salaah in loose shorts which are below the knee. He insists upon trousers quite recklessly and even makes him wear a thobe on top of his T-shirt and shorts. I am concerned that he is overcomplicating simple guidelines on which he can create lots of confusion in a developing childs brain.

Isn't this an innovation? It's not a precaution, but more of an obsession as people all over the world offer salaah in loose shorts below the knee.

Q:

1. If a person joins jumuah prayer in the second rakaat after rukoo, should he complete his remaining prayer or should he perform zuhar prayer?

2. In eid prayer, in the same above mentioned condition, will his eid namaz be considered performed?

Q: Does crying during one's salaah nullify the salaah? The crying is due to thoughts of emotional hurt, one's past, etc. coming to mind.

Q: On a trip out of town that necessitated qasar salaah, my sister checked the qibla direction using 2/3 apps. 2 gave a certain direction and the 3rd gave a different direction. We thus read our salaah according to the qibla direction from the two that were the same. However on the day we were leaving, I was on the balcony watching the sunrise and realised the sun was rising on the exact opposite direction of our qibla direction. In my understanding the qibla direction is north east and the sun rises in the east which meant our qibla was incorrect. Is this right? This doubt is lingering on my mind. Do I have to repeat my salaah? 

Q: If a person sets out on a journey to a certain place. There are two different routes that he can take to reach his destination. The first route is less than 78km while the second route is more than 78km. Will such a person be considered a musaafir if he takes any of the two routes when travelling to his destination?

Q: A fowl came into the home and soiled the carpet with droppings. Should I wash the soiled area only, or do I have to wash the entire carpet? If salaah was performed on the clean portion of the carpet before the entire carpet was washed, will the salaah be valid?

Q: I want to ask about travelling alone. My sister lives in Australia and she wants to visit us in India. She cannot come with her husband or son because of their work and school. My other sister is also coming from Saudi with her children so we can reunite as my mother is not well

My question is, is it permissible for her to travel alone as she is confused?

Q: I have nafil and sunnat prayers to make up that I used to break in the past and are now wajib. Is it valid if I make the niyyah of "2 rakat wajib"? Or do I have to specifically make niyyah of sunnat/nafil and which daily prayer they belonged to?

Q: If I recite few words of Surah Fatiha or attahiyyat after rising from first sajdah and then go back to 2nd sajdah, is my prayer valid or do I have to do sajdah-e-sahw?

Q: In qiyaam, if I lift up my toes or my foot from ground, does this invalidate my prayer?
