Q: My father is 92 years old and suffered a stroke about a year ago. The stroke left him weak on one side, he is now not able to control his urine and hence he messes himself. So he now wears diapers. My father had been living with my sister and brother in-law until last month. He now lives with me in Cape Town. I have just learnt that my father hasn’t performed any Salaah for the past year. He says he can’t perform any Salaah because he is always in the state of impurity because he messes himself and he has to wear a diaper. What is the Islamic ruling in regard to this matter?
Q: I recently led the jamaat for zuhr salaah and for some reason I have doubts and cannot recall if I read the same surah in the 1st and 2nd rakaat (after surah faatiha). I don't know the two gentleman that read behind me. What should I do to rectify this? What if I cannot find them?
Q: Zaid prayed Zuhr Salaah in Asr misl-e-awwal time. Thereafter on the same day zaid prayed Asr Salaah in misl-e-awwal time. Is the Asr Salah valid? In the above situation if the Asr Salaah is not valid, does Zaid have make qadha of the Asar Salah?
Q: Is it permissible for a Hanafi Imaam to recite Bissmillah aloud during his Salaah?
Q: I joined the Asr salaah when the Imam was coming up from ruku in the second rakaat. While he was coming up from ruku I joined the Salaah and went into ruku by accident. At the end of the salaah, I stood up and completed two rakaats and made sajda-e-sahw. Is the Salaah valid?
Q: I work on a coal mine, where the roof is not high enough to allow one to stand up straight. We work morning shift for a week and night shift the next week. Dhuhr is delayed until returning to surface when working morning shift, however salaah is performed underground when working afternoon shift. As one is required to stand upright, is it required to a) sit and pray (and then repeat the parayer when on surface) or b) stand and pray (even though one stands slightly crouched)?
Q: It sometimes happens that while offering four rakaats namaz, I get confused whether I am in the third or fourth rakaat, so I either pray the whole namaz again or conclude that I am offering the third rakaat and offer one more rakaat, do sajdah-e-ahw and finish my namaaz. I want to know if I get confused regarding the rakaat, then what has to be done?
Q: If the Imaam of a musjid writes taweezes and gives people taweezes , then is his salaah valid and is the salaah of those who perform salaah behind him valid?
Q: I have a very simple question. If I reach late for the salaah and the imam is in sujood, can I join him? I know the rakaat will not be completed but can I join?
