Salaah

Doubts with regards to qiraat

Q: I suffer from OCD and during namaz I forget if I have read somthing, so I will start the namaaz over again or I will repeat what I think I forgot. Also sometimes I think I said somthing wrong and I will repeat that part until I think I said it right. It is so stressful for me to read namaz and doing this takes so much time. A simple asr namaaz that takes anyone else 5 maybe 10 minutes takes me around 20-30 minutes to read. This takes up so much time during the day I can never finish anything else. I need to know if I think I have forgotten somthing or said somthing incorrect what should I do because it is obviously not normal to take so long to pray even the simplest of namaz. I just can never tell what really happend and what is my doubts.

Making sounds in Salaah

Q: While reading namaaz different types of sounds come out like when I close my lips and while opening the lips and due to the movement of the tongue some sound is generated and while reading rabbana lakal hamd near hamd different sounds comes out, when the tongue touches the upper lip. Do this kind of sounds invalidate my salaah? Can you tell me which kinds of sounds invalidate salaah and which of them don't?

OCD problem

Q: This morning I thought fajar happened around 6:35 so when I woke up around 6 I thought there was still time to pray. I went and made wudu and I am kind of sure that the sky was dark but there was like a very faint light when I started. I didn't think it was that late so I started praying. I struggle with OCD so it takes me a while to pray even four rakaat and when I was done the sky was still dark but it was a lighter blue colour. Did I pray at a forbidden time? Did my namaaz not count? I am so doubtful and my OCD makes everything so hard can you please tell me what I should do? If I have to repent or make it up do I read the prayer of repentance after making wudu?

Azaan

Q: Please advise regarding the Azaan:

(1) Should Masnoon Dua's be recited during the Azaan? For example, the Masnoon Dua's for entering the Masjid, when boarding a vehicle, when leaving the home and so forth.

(2) If a person is standing during the Azaan, should he remain standing until the Azaan has been completed before he sits down/performs Salaah?

(3) A person enters the Masjid just before the Muazzin is about to commence the Azaan. Is it correct for him to commence Tahiyatul Masjid or Sunnah Salaah at this point i.e. a few seconds before the Azaan? In this manner, almost his entire Salaah will be performed during the Azaan.

(4) It is often observed that those who arrive early to the Masjid (much before the Azaan and within the Salaah time) only perform their Sunnah Salaah after the Azaan has been given. It gives the impression that they were waiting for the Azaan in order to perform their Salaah. Is this correct?

(5) Should one greet a person with Salaam and shake his hands during the Azaan?

(6) Should one respond to the Salaam of a person during the Azaan?

(7) Can one verbally inform others to keep quiet during the Azaan whilst the Azaan is going?

(8) Should one respond to the Azaan heard over a recording or live streaming audio?

(9) Should one avoid 'answering the call of nature' during the Azaan?

Joining two Salaahs

Q: I have heard one is able to join prayer like zuhr and asr when need be. I am a student and I can never get any work done at home so I go to the library. Only the time between the two namazes are like three hours. Is it ok for me to join the two in this case because that gives me so much more time to sit there and get my work done?

Performing Tawbah Salaah

Q: How do you make the niyyat and pray the prayer of repentance. I have heard you make wudhu and pray two nafil. But what do you say in the niyyat exactly and is there anything special you say after the namaaz? Also can you make wudu for Esha namaaz, pray the repentance namaaz and then pray isha right after with the same wudhu?
