Early settlement discount

Q: Please advise if the following type of transactions are valid, not valid or improper:

A business has an agreement with a supplier to pay after 30 days from date of delivery with a limit of R50 000.00.

1. The business puts a condition on all purchase orders, that should the supplier request an earlier payment, it will incur a early settlement discount of x% on a daily basis.

2. At times the business goes over the limit of R50 000.00 , hence early payment now becomes binding in order for the supplier to deliver further orders, can the business in this situation claim the x% early settlement discounts.

Registering a property on someone else’s name

Q: My in laws fell into financial difficulty and registered their house on my name. I did not pay the monthly bond instalments. These were made by my sister in law. My mother in law has decided to give the house to my sister in law once the bond is paid and the debts are settled. What is the Shar’ee ruling in this regard? Can the property be gifted to her while it is in my name?

Roadside assitance

Q: Is roadside assistance permissible? Roadside assistance is a type of a plan where a person pays a company to get a service relating to their car in the case of an emergency. For example, if at any time of the year, I happen to get stuck on the road then the road side assistance truck will come and help out by changing my tire, or towing my car, filling my fuel, etc. based on what the car requires. This kind of assistance will be given 24/7 whenever I call them. Is this kind of service permissible?

Nowadays, if a person buys a brand-new car then he gets roadside assistance as a part of his car warranty. Will it be permissible for him to use the roadside assistance if he requires it?
