Q: Is it permissible to listen to:
1. A song sung by a kafir which has no evil connotations and there is no music at all.
2. A nazam or naat that has no music but tune and rythm is taken from a musical song.
3. The non musical version of a nazam or naat i.e. the vocals only.
Ulama taking oral and practical exams of baaligh girls
Q: Is it permissible for Ulama to take Quran/Surahs oral exams and practical wudhu/ghusal/salat exams of baaligh girls in a maktab?
Hating the sin and not the sinner
Q: What is the shariah perspective about: hating the sin, not the sinner. Is it applicable in all contexts?
Example: When the sinner promotes his sins and believes it to be honourable and that he is entitled to advertise and perpetrate it, is it obligatory to hate such an illegitimate deviant?
Intention to make when helping others
Q: When we help others or show kindness towards others, what intention should we have? Shall we help others out of the goodness of our heart or help others because this is what God wants us to do? Do we get rewarded by God if we help others because its good thing to do?
Claiming the fruit from one's neighbour's tree
Q: A person owns a yard in which there is a mango tree. The neighbour claims that her late mother planted the tree. To whom does the tree/mangoes belong to?
Claiming Allah's help is with a sports team
Q: What is the case of a person or country who rejoices by the victory of a team in a sport that transgresses the limits of Shariah, and claims that Allah has supported this team, that Allah is on their side, that Allah made them triumph over the kafirun? There is mixing of the sexes, music is always played, and the awrah is not covered at all at these sporting gatherings.
I am completely overwhelmed by the behavior of my Muslim brothers.
People converting to Islam during the Qatar World Cup
Q: Reports are coming in that 558 people have converted to Islam during the Qatar World Cup so far. Some are using this as an argument to say that what they are doing is a good thing by hosting the tournament as it’s bringing people closer to Islam. They say that they’ve invited Islamic speakers (Dr. Zakir Naik) and have put up posters of Ahaadith and Azan on loudspeakers which will bring people to Islam (as shown by recent shahadahs).
