Q: If a person leaves his home for a place beyond a safr distance to go and study. His plan is only to remain there for the period of his studies e.g. 4 years. He does not regard the place of study as his home. If he stays in the place of study for less than 15 days, then will he be regarded as a mussafir?
Q: I am following Hanafi Fiqh.
1. In the current situation of Palestine, I have started reading Qunut e Nazila in Fajr prayer. I restrict myself with the Arabic dua from Quran and Hadith. However, I said one day, allahummansuril mujahideena fi filasteen (in Arabic). Would that be considered as Kalamun nas?
2. Secondly, could you please let me know about the guideline which will be easy for me to understand the Kalamun Nas discussed by the fuqaha. I have heard that if we are making dua in Arabic outside Quran and Hadith, it should not be in the classification of Kalamun Nas. However, this thing did not become clear so that's why I am refering to you.
Q: The imaam in the Fajr Salaah recited Qunoote Naazilah. During the Qunoot, he read the following in error: ولا يضل من عاديت
Will the salaah be valid in such a situation or will it break?
Q: I have abit of arthiritis in my lower back and waist and I'm struggling with standing and sitting when performing namaaz. What will be best and permissible in my case... sitting position on the musallah without getting up or sitting on a chair?
Will I receive the same reward?
Q: I live in Durban and Insha Allah will be going for Umrah the next day from Johannesburg. I will be flying from Durban to Johannesburg. If I am making Zohr Salaat at the Durban airport before catching the flight, do I read the full salaat or am I going to make qasr salaat?
Q: A woman wears a long dress and a burka while praying Salah. She is however, not wearing a trouser (her dress is long that covers her legs). Is this ok or does she have to wear a trousers also?
Q: I have a question regarding Ishraaq salaah. I noticed a Hadeeth mention something to the effect that whoever offers the Fajr salaah in congregation and then remains seated, remembering Allah until sunrise, and thereafter he performs two rak’ahs, he will receive the reward of one complete Hajj and one complete Umrah.
My question is directed at the part that says 'remains seated remembering Allah until sunrise'. In our masjid, there is a tafsir program that takes place at the back of the masjid after the salaah is over, so I do not remain seated in the same place. I also drop my father off at home thereafter. Will the reward still be the same if I come back to the masjid afterwards and wait until the sunrise comes to read the Ishraaq Salaah?
Q: We know that praying 8 rakaah in tahajud is sunnah but there is no limit on the number of rakaah.
My question is should we pray these 8 rakaah in pairs of 2 or 4 and if we want to pray in pairs of 4 for example 4+4 is 8 so should we recite another surah after fatiha in the third and fourth rakkah because we know that reciting a surah after fatiha in the third and fourth rakaah is wajib in sunnah e muakadah and ghair e muakadah.
Q: Please can you kindly advise on the following from a Hanafi point of view:
1. Reading Sabina Taraweeh in the Kingdom. Is it permissible to do so?
2. Are we allowed to read Witr in Jamaat in the Kingdom as their method is different?
