Salaah

Reciting duas in nafl salaah

Q: Can I read the following dua in my salaah? (Eg in sajdah, end of tashahhud)

توكلت على الحى الذى لا يموت الحمد لله لم يتخذ ولد و لم يكن له شريك فى الملك و لم يكن له ولى من ذل و كبره تكبيرا

Delaying Salaah due to illness

Q: During pregnancy I vomit a lot. It makes my Salaah late. Whenever I make wudhu normally, I vomit and I have to take rest and make wudhu again. My question is after vomiting my wudhu breaks? In normal circumstances I know it breaks but what about these continuous vomitings of pregnancy. I don't miss my salaah but this feeling prevails that I am getting late for it. Kindly guide.

Reciting behind the Imaam

Q: I have a ghair muqallid relative. He doesant adhere to a madhab and he was saying how is my Salaah accepted if I don't recite faatiha in quiet Salaah behind the imaam. I gave him the verse of the Qur'an to prove but he said how can the imam be heaed if he is quiet. He confused me. Please clarify what should I do? I sometimes doubt.

Tahiyyatul Musjid

Q: When entering my local masjid shortly before fard salat starts, some people avoid sitting down before the fard prayer. They say this is so that they will be able to include the intention of tahiyyatul masjid in their fard prayer (they say that according to their madhab which I think is Shafie, the opportunity of tahiyatul masjid disappears when you sit down). I know that the opportunity of tahiyatul masjid is not nullified for us Hanafis by sitting down, but is it still recommendable for us to stand together with the others (i.e. not sit) even if we are Hanafis, to be on the safe side and to avoid ikhtilaf? I mean just as our books of fiqh says that it is mustahabb for us to redo wudhu after having touched a person of the opposite gender in order to avoid ikhtilaf.
