Q: My question is interest. You may know within the UK that university fee is £9000 and to take student loans it includes interest, I understand the punishments of doing so but my parents don't if I do tell them they'll take it lightly. My parents have high aspirations for me to go to university and they are not able to fund me like not able to afford it but student loan with interest is haram is there no alternatives or is that it I can't go to university. Please could you provide me with advice. It would be really helpful. May Allah Ta'ala bless you all and accept all your duas ameen.

Q: I have an education saving account at the bank. Basically, we deposit money every month for education, and on top of that, the government puts 2.5% without us asking for it. Is this considered as interest?

Q: Is it permissible for me to employ ladies as sales executives as they are loyal and work well?

Q: I am working in Singapore. I am in charge for some oil carrying ships of a company. I would prepare the ships technically to run smoothly. But I don't involve myself in the operation department. But my boss cheats the customers by supplying oils short. For eg: instead of 5000 MT, 4600 MT will be supplied through the help of the operation department. Kindly advise whether my earnings are halaal? Though I am not involved myself in these activities, I feel that my earnings are haraam and my duas will not be accepted.

Q: Can I start a new company while working for another company without compromising on my work for the current employers? Do I have to inform the employers?

Q: I had a question in regard to halaal income. I am about to start my career as a car and home insurance agent. I will be selling car and home insurance to people and was wondering if it is halaal to do so or would I have to get away from the whole industry. Also what about real estate agent?

Q: I am working in airport cargo. My company forwards cargo to freighter aircrafts. Some days we handle cargo which is going to American Army Base in Afghanistan which includes Army Vehicles. Most days as a staff I am involved directly in these handling. I have to do documentation and monitor loading. I am thinking of resigning as soon as possible.

Q: I was talking to a friend of mine and I accidently talked about the preparation method of one of my parents businesses which was a chain store for smoothies. If I broke some kind of confidentiality agreement, do I have to ask for forgiveness? The thought crossed my mind but I for some reason kept going with the discussion not knowing if there was one.

Q: Is it permissible to sell a uct which claims unrealistic benefits e.g. If you rub this oil on your hands, you will get rich?
