Profits from a bank account

Q: Please can you assist with the following questions?

1. I have a *hajj account* as well as a *cheque account* with Al Baraka bank. The amount grows as per the profits the bank makes. Is this acceptable according to shariat? Should I cancel all growth and just keep the amount as is?

2. I have opened up an account with FNB shariat compliant for my son. He was given a lot of gifts Alhamdulillah, therefore we have kept all his monetary wealth in an FNB shariat compliant account. The amount in the account will grow. Is this acceptable? Should I rather ask the bank to stop all growth and let the amount stay as is?

3. Do I have to pay zakaat considering the wealth in my hajj account also?

Earning through redirecting people to ad websites

Q:

1. Is it permissible for me to earn money through redirecting people to ad websites? When they click on a link on my website, they will first be directed to an ad website which will display an ad for few seconds and thereafter they will be directed to the link they clicked on. The ad website will pay me for each person who views their website via me directing them there. Will it be permissible for one to earn money in this way?

2. Will it be permissible for me to earn through advertising for people on my website? I will display people's ads on my website and the ads do not contain any haraam elements (pictures of animate objects, etc.)?

Driving with a pass plus driving license without passing the test

Q: I’m in a bit of a tricky situation. My dad has paid for my insurance (in UK where insurance is compulsory) which has been reduced because I have completed a driving scheme (pass plus) according to him. However, I haven’t completed it according to the rules. Thus can I still drive the car as my real insurance would be higher, meaning technically according to a driving instructor who works for the driving agency I haven’t completed it.

Taking a remuneration for collecting money for a school

Q: With a lot of effort, I collected around $1500 for some civil work for an Islamic school. I left all my work for around a month and got all the work done under my presence. Some time I stood there for the whole night. Finally the whole work done was wondeful.

During this one month I earned nothing, kept away from my struggling business. In this case will it be allowed if I keep just $80 out of contribution for myself?

Big Sweep gambling

Q: My question is about gambling. In my country, we have something called Big Sweep.

How to play:
1. Buy a ticket at $3 each.
2. Draws on every first Wednesday of each month at 6pm.

Results:
If your ticket number matches any of the 133 winning seven-digit numbers drawn, you win a prize of at least $1,000 and up to $2.3 million. If the last two digits of your ticket number match any of the nine winning two-digit numbers drawn, you win $6.

Is this considered gambling? Many of my Muslim friends are playing.
