Q: When I got married I was shocked to see my husband shaking hands with his cousins, mamo's wife and other females of the family. I told him that this is not right. Similarly putting hands on the heads of smaller than him but baligh girls. He says that he has no bad intention at all and it is a custom and matter of respect.
Q: My cousin and another cousin's wife are in a sexual relationship. Both repented. What should they do?
Q:
1. My mom is very innocent and sometimes takes decisions of some things which has more problems than solutions for us. When she tells me to do something then I do it because Allah says we have to obey our parents. Sometimes Abbu also shouts at me as to why am I doing such things. What should I do? Can I deny my mom or should I obey her?
2. People know that I listen to my mother, whenever and whatever work people want from me, they go directly to my mother and convince her and then my mother orders me to do that work. Sometimes I hate doing that work. Is there any chance of me denying my mom in these situations?
Q: Some sellers (women) come near my home. They don't even ring the bell but wait for my mom to come out to talk to them. My mom doesn't know that they are there but unconsciously she goes to the door and sees them by the door. The seller woman laughs and asks if my mom wants to buy something. I don't know what is happening and how can she call my mom wirelessly every time?
Q: I am a non-Muslim trying to understand Islam more. Here are my questions:
1. With Islamophobia rising worldwide, there is a deeply ingrained perception that Islam as a religion is inherently violent. Is Islam violent?
2. Given the rise of groups like ISIS. In your perspective, how can we address Islamophobia in countries where non-Muslims and Muslims coexist?
3. Recently, wife-beating in Islam became a topic of discussion in the media. Do you agree that wife-beating is a good practice?
Q: Will it be incorrect to like dogs even if one does not have intention to keep as a pet?
Q: What is the ruling on stuffed animals that do not have eyes? Can this be given to children to play with?
Also a dolly with no eyes?
Q: If we have a soccer tournament amongst our students from the Hifz class in my area.
1. After the tournament can a reward be given for the winner or rather can a reward be given to all the particapants for their participation in the event?
2. If rewards can be given, can we give medals?
3. Thirdly, the tournament is held in a private arena and a males only event. Entry is denied to any player who does not comply to a dress code requirement; 3 quarter shorts, etc.
Keeping the above in mind, do the Ulama advise having soccer tournaments for Hifz boys? Is it against the Mizaaj of Shariat?
