Refusing medical treatment

Q: My sister suffers from severe menstrual pain therefore her parents wanted her to take HPR high dose but she kept it in the corner of her mouth but didn't swallow it.Her father double checked her mouth but didn't find anything miraculously. Her father then asked if she had swallowed it or if she was lying. She replied in the former answer which was not true. But she didn't swallow it and it decreased the Blood flow. Will it be considered a lie?

Assisting a non-mahram woman

Q: Is a brother (caller of Islam) obliged to continue helping a sister with disabilities if she has no one? She learns the deen through him instead of others. If the brother is choosing to not help her, will he be responsible before her in the Hereafter? He is choosing to not help her, because he cannot deal with her.

Nose surgery

Q: My question is regarding septo-rhinoplasty. I have a deviated septum and outwardly the left nasal bone is wider then the right, giving an unpleasant appearance to the left side of the nose. This causes psychological distress and the deviated septum causes left side to be blocked, i.e there isn't full flow of air at certain times. The doctor said he will correct the deviation and will make the left nasal wide making it more natural and even. Along with this the nose will be defined and reduced in size in very conservative manner. I believe when they reduce left nasal bone to balance with the rest of face and make it look normal it would need to be defined to give normal appearance. Is it permissible?

Riya

Q: An ustaad said here in a sermon about the characteristics of people that have riya (besides showing off ibadah), kindly answer yes if any of this is true:

1.) If a person is always concerned about other peoples opinion, then he is not free from riya.

2.) If he has a desire in his heart and is eager to be praised, noticed, appreciated & admired by the people then he is not also free from riya.

3.) If he is always concerned about how to please people, then he is not free from riya.

4.) If he fears the criticism of (un-Islamic) people, he is not free from riya.

5.) If he constantly worrys about what people might think about him , he is not free from riya.

6.) If a person is free from any of the abovementioned, then he can assure that he is safe from riya. This kind of shocked me because I thought riya was just showing off your ibadaah to people.
