Q: If a person commits a bidah has he committed a sin?
Q: There are 99 names of Allah Ta'ala. In the Qur'aan Sharif it seems to be about 104. Please explain.
Q: There is a rumour that Dajjaal has already appeared in Israel. Is it true?
Q: Many a time, when making tashkeel of people, we tell them, "How will we answer to Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) or Sahaba (Radiyallahu Anhum) on the Day of Qiyamah if we don't go out in jamaat?" Or "What answer will we have for the non muslims on the Day of Qiyamah, when they come to us and say "You never brought the message to us'?" I was under the impression that we will only be questioned by Allah Ta'ala regarding life, youth, wealth and knowledge.
1) Are these statements made during tashkeel in keeping with the beliefs of the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama'ah regarding events that will occur on the Day Qiyamah?
2) Will there be other forums/gatherings where people will interact and converse amongst themselves? If so, pls provide proofs in English.
3) Should we continue giving this type of "targheeb" or refrain?
Q: I have a pdf copy of Sahih Al- Bukhari which is translated by Dr Muhsin Khan. His hadith can be found on Sunnah.com. I just wanted to inquire if his translation is correct and if I can follow hadith translated by him.
Q: Can you pray behind an Imam or someone who leads you in Prayer who is involved in Fetish or great Shirk like fortune telling or claiming to know the unseen?
Q: I have a brief question on Aqidah at Tahawiyyah. When I studied the matan, I was told that all scholars agree that the beliefs in Aqidah at Tahawiyyah are considered as sound by the consensus of all scholars. Unfortunately, the shaikh did not provide a reference for this quote. Can you please inform me of some of the scholars that have mentioned this Ijma?
Q: Please tell me whether I committed shirk or not. I was praying Salatul dhuhr and shaytan was really pestering me with whispers, now in the final sujood I decided to recite this ayat in surat Yasin "Alam aahad ileykum ya bani adam an la taabudu shaytana innahu lakum aduwun mubin. Waanibuduni hadha siratun mustaqim". Now the part that is really stressing me out is that I wanted to let shaytaan know that I am following Allah's path so after the ayaat I said "wa ana aabud or wa ana aabudu.."something like that and I stopped and thought I had committed shirk (even worse because I was in sujood) maybe implying from what I had said that I was worshiping shaytan (wa iadhu Billah min dhalik). Because I don't know Arabic and I tried to conjure that in Arabic. Please if you could tell me if what I did was shirk or not and did it refer to shaytan or something?
Q: Is it permissible in Islam that we kiss our thumbs while listening to the name of Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)?
