Q: When I was about 7 or 8 years (now I am 30 yrs ), I was at my uncle's place where I took some halalas (coins) almost 3 saudi riyals, (not in term of thief). On the way home my father asked me from where did I get this? I didn't want to dishearten my father so I spoke a lie and said that I took it from my house. It was almost 23years ago. I still remember this as I did a big sin. I also gave sadqa of 30 riyals to give them sawab. Actually, now I am not in the state of giving money back to them as I am far away nor can I talk about it. Can you please give me a solution.

Q: I will like to know if it is permissible to invest money in an insurance company and the money I invested will be paid back to me double the amount that I invested with them. For example, I invested 4 million and get back 8 million in 7 years.

Q: Is it permissible to sell a product at a profit of 100%? For example, the product costs R50 and I sell it for R100. Is this permissible?

Q: I want to know and clear a doubt whether working in an insurance company which is not related to a bank, is halal or haram? 

Q: I have a question regarding my job. I work in a technical firm as an engineer and my company pays me a monthly salary. My company take projects from clients and after completion of projects the client pays money to company, company puts that money in the bank and then our salary comes. Although i am not sure that either company takes interest from the bank or not, but i know that in my country Pakistan, every other company does that so there is a very high possibility that my company also takes interest from bank. So now our salary comes from (Client's money + Bank interest). So what is the Islamic ruling on this issue.

Q: My family wants a kitten/cat. I live in the USA, and where I live it's very hard to find someone who's giving away a cat. I heard that it's not permissible to buy a cat. Can you please tell me the ruling on this? Can I buy a cat?

Q: I currently work for a company that retails and distributes stationery and office products. The company has recently applied for a liquor license at their main distribution, which if granted will allow companies to purchase their alcohol and have it delivered with stationery needs. It is estimated that the sales of liquor will make up less than 1% of total sales. I joined the company a few months ago and would like to know if it is prohibited for me to work for them if the license is granted and sales are so small in comparison to other products?

Q: My classmates want to give a gift to the class teacher (non-muslim) as she is leaving the school this year, so they are taking money from all the students in order to buy a gift. My question is whether I should give money or not?

Q: We own an internet cafe. We are living day to day alhamdulillah. My wife wants to get the government to sponsor us with laptops and similar tech to use in our business. We are not a Non-Profit Organisation. Is it permissble to accept this sponsorship from the government?

Q: I have question about sood. In my town people are taking Rs.45,000 for a month and giving the Rs.60,000 or Motor Cycle CD-70 having price of Rs.63,000 after one month, so choice depends upon people either they want Rupees or Bike. So I want to know that whether it is sood or not. Some people are saying that taking rupees is sood but bike is not sood. Please guide me.
