Q: If a father gifts his property to one son only instead of all the legal heirs during his life, in this connection is the said gifted property is valid or not under Islamic law? 

Q: We have a tyre business which is a Dunlop franchise, they have this tyre insurance for the customers. Any damage to the tyre and they send a replacement after doing their tests. They charge us R10 per tyre for this which I pass onto the customer.

I add it to the cost and then add my markup. I tried getting out of this but it’s compulsory from their side.

How should I handle this… Is it permissible?

Should I add my markup first then the R10. Because my intention is not to make money on the insurance…

Q: Incentives offered by car dealers to bank employees for referring bank auto loan customers is Halal or Haram. They offer a specific amount from their own profit and not caused any loss to bank or its customer.

Q: There is a profession known as paranormal investigator. In this normally person goes to a place and investigates regarding paranormal activities taking place mostly related to ghosts and haunting places (in Islamic version we can say jinn).

Is it permissible for a Muslim to work in this domain?

Q: I am a student. I teach my aunts son mathematics. This is my first job as a student. I always wanted to earn halaal or I have a wish that my first salary or income will be atleast halaal.

My question is, somehow, I know that my aunts source of income comes from riba or a bank loan or something or fraudness which is haraam. Is my salary halaal or haraam? I am confused. Please explain, if it is not halaal then I will teach him for free. 

Q: For animals used in fighting such as roosters and dogs, their price depends on their fighting ability. If a rooster/dog is an excellent fighter, it would be expensive. So is it halaal to include the price of an animal's fighting ability in the overall price of the animal? Would the amount added to the price based on the fighting ability be halaal?

Q: If you have halaal meat in the same fridge as non halaal meat in a shop. Is it against your religion or belief to buy it or can it be in the same fridge as long as it has not been opened and touched once sealed and certified halaal?

Q: A certain person started working in a local shop in March. The agreed salary was R7000. At the end of the month, his employer deducted R1130 for the 5 Sundays in March that he did not work. However, the shop is not open on Sundays.

Q: I have some Malawian friends who are barbers. However they also shave the customers beards, also cut 2 length haircuts, etc.

Sometimes they give me some money. Is it permissible for me to take and use that money?

Q: I have a helper whom I pay on a monthly basis. For 1 month I was not at home so she did not come to work. However I will still pay her wages at the end of the month. Is it permissible to pay these wages with interest money as she has not worked the whole month?
