Q: My friend and I are unemployed. Can we work in a credit card company? Is it allowed to work in this sector because the insurance and loan sectors are haraam for us.

Q: When we make online accounts, some websites say words to the effect: "By clicking 'Create Account', you agree that you have read and agree to the terms of service". In such a case, is it allowed to just clicking "Create Account" without reading the terms?

Q: If I bought a phone with haraam money, can I use it for a halaal online business?

Q: My office times are 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. Mostly I reach the office late at 8:15 or 8:20 etc. Is it OK from a sharia point of view to reach the office late due to some reason?

Q: I am a government employee. I work on the computer. Often, there is little work and most of the time we are free. My questions are: 

1. Can I use the Govt. computer and internet for further learning advanced technologies?

2. Can I use it for listening to Islamic lectures?

3. Can I use it for work with some other companies as most the time I have no work to do?

Furthermore, the internet service is free and does not incur extra charges. 

Q: Is it permissible for one to work as an accountant for shops such as Pick n Pay, Makro, Checkers? These shops sell halaal, as well as non halaal items such as alcohol and non halaal meat.

Q: I am an accountant. I have a job offer from a restaurant where they serve alcohol with food. Is it permissible to take up the offer?

Q: A university requires some money for per-registering then it chooses the best among the candidates. Is it gambling? 

Q: If I venture into a capital investment partnership in which I will give the capital and my partner does the work. It will be specific to animals, my funds but animals will be at his farm, eat of his land and drink his water... But yes, any extra major expenses above this will be born from the capital amount which I give. Will this type of partnership be permissible if profits are split percentage wise?

Q: I am working in a general insurance company as a loss adjuster which means that I assess loss of vehicle at the time of claim. Is it halaal or haram for me to work in a general insurance? As per my opinion, I am not in direct sales but I am doing the work which removes gharar from it as I assess the loss and do not allow additions or reductions as per terms. Also, I heard that if a company is owned by a Hindu, we can work in that insurance company.
