Q: We have signed a contract with a client and gave our development team on his parol whose nature of business is News Media. They have to develop a website where they put all news and articles and different type of stories and put different type of pictures like sports, politics, their religious activities, astrology etc. Whole team is working for his projects and he give us administration fee because currently his team is working from our office. He also gives us commission because we give him our whole team we are not involed in any activities so is it permissible to sign such a contract and what about our income it will be lawful for us?

Q: My father has passed away and since I have no brother, the only source of income for my mother is the monthly payment that comes against the amount deposited in the saving scheme. As it is an interest based scheme, is it permissible for her to use such earnings for all her needs? She is over sixty.

Q: My husband works for the SAPS. As part of their dress code, male police officers (my husband is a police officer) are not allowed to keep beards (and in fact, may only keep a moustache). My husband is a new Muslim and has started growing his beard recently. Should he abide by their dress code or should we request for grace in terms of the beard rule, citing religious reasons?

Q: I want to become a pilot which will cost me £80,000. Am I aloud a student loan?

Q: Many shops owned by muslims sell items like condoms, tobacco and other goods. Is this permissible to sell? Should I decide to open my shop, what goods should I avoid selling? If avoided will there be more barakah in my earnings?

Q: Can we buy a health plan? We have to pay a premium on a monthly basis and the plan covers certain types of medical expenses upto a limit.

Q: I am a web developer and an IT professional. While developing any website, I sometimes have to add videos, pictures, cartoons, movies, music and many more related things. What should I do in such situations?

Q: We are selling dedicated servers to customer in the U.S. They purchase this service from us and than use it for their business, etc. We do not know what they will use this service for. They use the server for marketing etc. We do not sell such a service to the person who is going use it unlawfully and in a wrong way but when we can not recognise where they will use this service, than what can we do? Can we provide them hosting service? Is it permissible to for us deal with them? This server and hosting service can be use in both ways permissible and impermissible ways. It depend on customers usage. Please advise us.

Q: I was investing in haraam till now. Although I didn't know about it, I was again trapped by one of my friends and again invested in haraam for which I will get a good return.

1. One of my friends is in very much debt. Can I pay this money for his debt or 2. In my examination I have paid some money to my professor to help me get some answer in my paper through cheating. I have taken this money on credit and I know this is wrong and haraam. Can I pay this debt of mine through that haraam income?

3. If the above things are not allowed, tell me what should I do with this haraam money?

1. I want to say one more thing here that trading in gold online is a forex trading. It is like shares of gold. If I buy it, I will get like gold lots/shares (electronic form) and when I will sell it, my broker will sell those shares (gold lots) to forex. and I will get money. So gold rate in forex are changing by international market rates. And I am not selling these electronic gold every day, it will be once in a month or after 15 days. Mean it is not like everyday game as I saw shares are not allowed if done on daily basis but long term are permissible in Islam.

2. As or the possession, I am believing that if I have gold or as form of shares in my electronic account, I have possession of it and when my broker sell to other company, possession is given to the new buyer or forex company. And if you emphasize that physical possession is necessary, can you please tell me in the shadow of hadith or Quran verses where it is clearly mentioned that physical possession or just possession?

3. What is the punishment of eating Haram on day of judgement? Is it depends on Allah will? Like many sins will depend on Allah, if he wants, he will forgive them but the sins like haqooq al ibaad, only we need to clear them with other people.
