Developing an app

Q: I am a software developer and two weeks ago my friend asked that he has signed a deal with his client for an android app that we need to deliver within 30 days. My friend and his client both are very trusted although the client is a non-Muslim. So what happened is neither he saw the project details nor me and after two week now when I started working on the project I realized that it was a betting app. Me and my friend both are very stressed that should we take the money from this app or not? Since he has transfered the money into our bank account, what should we do?

Sports betting

Q: Is it acceptable to engage in sports betting?

Sports betting involves wagering money on predictions of sports outcomes, such as a player's performance or a team's victory. If the prediction is correct, the better's money can potentially be doubled or tripled. In essence, sports betting revolves around forecasting sports results and staking money on those predictions.

Muzaara'ah partnership

Q: Zaid and John entered into a muzaara'ah partnership. Zaid will provide the land and seeds and John will do the planting, etc.

They have agreed that they both will have 50% ownership in the crop. They also agreed that John will then handle the sale of the crop, and they will then divide what is earned between them 50% each.

Is this partnership valid? Can John be made a wakeel to purchase seedlings as well? If the above partnership was incorrect, how should it be redone, as there are already seeds planted.

Please advise.
