Business partner intending to open a bar in a jointly owned restaurant

Q: I have a restaurant in India with a partner. We have all halal food. Our partner now wants to open a bar section and wants to sell alcohol as all the resturants are doing the same to survive. I have told him that i won't partake in the earnings from selling alcohol. But will it be okay if he uses the same premises but i won't take part in the alcohol selling part of the business?

Drinking and selling alcohol

Q:

1. If you do good deeds like fasting, salah, etc. but at the same time you have a business which sells alcohol or where you work sells alcohol, would Allah accept your good deeds like fasting, salah, etc?

2. Also, is selling alcohol the same as drinking it?

3. I heard those who drink alcohol in the dunya (world) wouldn't drink wine in Jannah, does that apply to people who don't drink it but sell alcohol?

Settling one's debts

Q: I thought that if you commit shirk, you will not enter Jannah but I also read a hadith that if you have a debt then you will not enter jannah, what happens on day of judgement to someone who never paid his debt?

Woman working from home due to constraints

Q: My husband works in his father’s business. His father deals in interest and sells haraam. My husband knows it is haraam but is not interested in getting another job.

Also, my husband has almost hit me. I really want to be financially independent from him. I don’t know where we will be financially in a few years’ time. I do have enough savings to study something and go out and work. Should I do this?

I have considered starting a home business, but I don’t know what kind of home business will succeed and generate income. I don’t know what to sell or where to start from.

Taking interest bearing loans

Q: Can a Muslim take out a usuruous loan to support their family if they are living in conditions that are dangerous such as, if their home is being burglarized and living in a dangerous neighborhood filled with gangs and drugs? Is this a condition of zaroorah (necessity) or haajah (need)? Can one commit a major sin, dealing with Riba (Usury/Interest), in order to get his family away from these conditions. Please advise.
