Q: Is it permissible to work in an organization which gives loans for building houses?

Q: Can I take a loan on interest from a bank to pay off my friends debts in order to save him from going to jail?

Q: I am in need of money. If I buy something like a mobile phone on installments and then I sell it because I need the money, and pay the installments every month, is it permissible or does it come under interest?

Q: One of my friends required a loan of R500 000. I loaned him this amount, and our mutual agreement was that he would repay me after one year.

Unfortunately, only six months have passed and I have fallen into some financial difficulty. Can I claim my money back from my friend, even though the agreed term of one year has not yet terminated?

Q: I am a Graphics Designer. I have been working on the software called Illustrator. This software is used to make logo, portraits and many other designs.

I work for different clients all over the world. In almost all the projects I have to make a picture of a human, animals and plants to make it attractive. But I came to know from somewhere that making these designs is forbidden in Islam. If yes, then why taking pictures is allowed?

I hope to get a detailed answer. If this is really forbidden then please suggest what I can create. I think in these ages its difficult to run away from pictures and drawings since they are every where. 

Q: I am running a business of supplies and transportation. One of my friends is interested to invest with me in a car. He wants to invest ten lac rupees for five years on a profit ratio of rs. 1500 per month. Is it permissible or is there any restriction in such an investment?

He will receive a fixed amount of rupees (15000) on his investment and if there will be any loss or damage of the car, the insurance company or myself will bear the financial loss on the car. What will be the Islamic ruling in this condition?

Q: A police stopped a brother for speeding 91km in a 80km zone. So the brother asked him for a chance and told him that he just did some charity and if  the police could spare him. The police replied that since you just did some good deeds why not do a good deed for the police as well and give me something (money). Is that a bribe or a gift?

Q: I have a mobile account and I subscribe to the benefits package that if I have more money in my account I will get 10% profit, please guide me is this valid or not?

Q: I loaned a certain person an amount of R10 000 to be repaid after one year. When one year elapsed, the person repaid my loan and also presented a small gift to me (a box of chocolates) as a token of appreciation. I was neither expecting this gift, nor was it stipulated, at the time of the loan, that he would give me this gift. Is it permissible for me to accept it, or will it be regarded as interest?

Q: Is indexation considered as riba? There are 2 methods to go to university

2. Student loan (i know this is haram already but i just want to know about the 1st option whether it is actually halal because only a minority of Islamic scholars talk about this issue of inflation causing the prices to rise).
