Company outsourcing its employees to an Islamic Bank

Q: I am outsourced in an Islamic Bank in Abu Dhabi (UAE). Is my salary halal or haram? It if it is halal, then how much good or bad it is for my eternal life i.e. life after death, to work in an Islamic Bank?

My company, which outsourced me in the Islamic Bank is a big Information Technology Company and have outsourced about 15 more employees in the same Islamic Bank. These employees (my colleagues) are working for software development; and develop and test different software portals and websites for the same Islamic Bank. My responsibility is to develop software portals for different services of covered cards and sukuk bonds etc. to be used by bank employees (mainly operations’ department employees). Please provide your opinion and fatwa in this regards.

Secondly, the same Islamic Bank has given a 1000 AED gift voucher of amazon.com to each of my team members, to show the gratitude towards the successful completion of the projects. Is it halal for me to utilize this gift voucher to purchase items for my home?

Is a government payout after the demise of a person part of the estate?

Q: My father has passed away recently. He was working in a government school and was supposed to get a lump sum and a pension fund after he retired. He passed away before he could get the lump sum and pension fund. After the person passes away, the government pays this to the spouse or children. Does the money go into inheritance or does it go directly to the wife and daughters.

This is the summary of what the government pays out: The GEPF also pays annuities to qualifying surviving spouse(s) or orphan(s) of members who die while in service or after retiring.

Death while in service: The benefit paid is based on the member’s period of pensionable service. It is payable to the beneficiaries of the deceased member or, if there are no beneficiaries, to the member’s estate.

Being a witness to signing for a home loan bond

Q: I was traveling with a co-worker who stopped at the attorney offices and asked me to come inside with her. When I went inside I was asked to be a witness on signing for a home loan bond that was taken with the bank.

I am feeling very uneasy and I would like to find out if I have committed a sin by being a witness to the interest stipulated on the contract.

Can I somehow get my name removed from that contract as I myself try my utmost to not deal with interest bearing loans.

Dropshipping

Q: Is drop shipping halaal? I intend to sell clothes online via a supplier. The stock resides with the supplier. I will link my online clothing store with the supplier. The client chooses from my brochure and makes payment, then the item will be shipped via courier to the client. Is this permissible?

Employee not honouring an agreement made when starting employment

Q:

1. If an employer insists that the employee must join remotely and relocate within 3 months. Can the employee agree (contractually/verbally), then proceed to work online for the first 3 months and serve a notice period? Does he have to fulfill the conditions?

2. Would the employee be sinful for not intending to relocate before he enters into such an agreement or for going back on a promise? Does that affect the income received for work done? Also, is such a condition valid and isn't the employee entitled to a salary for the period he has worked?

Who is responsible to pay for general maintenance in a rented property?

Q: A person rents out a flat and signs a lease agreement wherein it is stated that the tenant will be liable for maintenance costs. However, in light of the shari ruling, who will be responsible to pay for general maintenance of the following; changing the bulbs, repairing a clogged pipe, repairing the aircon, replacing the geyser, replacing damaged washers, etc.?

Working for FLP

Q: I want to know if it is halaal to work in a network marketing company especially in FLP company America.

This is a brief overview of how the company works:

After free registration under sponsorship of a person who I join through his ID, the company is giving us their products (aloevera contained-health products) with some discount to sell them to the general public.

We have to then pass different levels in order to achieve different status in the company

1) We have to buy at least 5000 products and sell them. To achieve the level in which we can add/join some other person under ourselves (under our sponsorship) to do the same business. After achieving this, we become "business owner".

2) We have to sell/recommend the product of cost 33000 to acheive 2cc (cc=case credit), which is common currency of this company all over the world). In this case, we become "assistant supervisor".

Likewise, the more CCs we achieve, the different levels we reach and the higher salaries we earn.

3) Here we receive bonus/passive income from our downlines (the people who joined me or the person who joined them, and carrying on further down the chain) as well. We receive some special percentage of amount from their (downlines) work as well. This earning is called  "bonus or passive income" here.

However, the bonus amount/passive income is subject to a condition that we must fulfil, that we have to generate a special number of CCs (case credits) by ourselves actively, then only we can receive our passive income otherwise we will be denied any passive/bonus income.

Please advise on the permissibility of above.
