Giving up watching videos

Q: Previously I asked about looking at digital photography and the answer was it is impermissible. So now, as a person who watches it often on YouTube for various ilm and also for research and enjoyment, how do I give it up? It’s not that easy to just give it up overnight and as a person who video calls often, what are some advices for me to stop this habit?

I’m not in a situation where I am watching any women or anything, it’s generally some reviews by men or bayaans and lectures.

Cure for jealousy

Q: What are some reasons behind someone feeling jealous so easily? And how can one change their mind to gratitude and self-satisfaction?

If someone continously feels jealousy unintentionally when they are trying to remove it repeatedly, and they still feel heart hardening, is this still jealousy? I feel it severely maybe because of arrogance or wanting praise and recognition.

Is there any difference between envy and jealousy in Islam?

Observing purdah from one's daughter in law's father

Q: My dad is late (may the Almighty grant him jannat). He has left behind 2 sons and 2 daughters. The eldest son lives with his father in law.

After mummy's iddat, it was her desire to perform umrah and her second son took her Alhamdulillah. The elder son wants to take my mother, his wife and his father in law, who is also a widower, for umrah. Will it be permissable for my mother to travel like this in the company of his father in law?

Taking prophetic or non prophetic medicines

Q: Should we only rely on spritual medicines like zam zam, honey, etc. and not take medicines? I don't know why I think due to my weak faith that what happened if I don't get shifa and I only think of using medical medicines. Am I committing kufr?

I heard the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) used both. Did he always use then in a combined form of both spiritual and physical medicines?
